How much does it cost to move?

$500-5,000+ (Local Full House Move)

It depends so much on house size, trucks needed, & more to get an exact quote. It’s best to give us a call and have us give you a formal estimate.

Are you licensed & insured?

Yes.

All Illinois licensed movers are. We recommend asking for proof of insurance with every move! As well as license documents to ensure you and your belongings are protected.

Are there any hidden fees?

Nope.

We keep pricing as simple as we can. Hourly for local. Weight for long-distance. Our goal is to give you an accurate price we can stand behind. We don’t like to lowball just to get the bid.

I always hear moving horror stories, how do I avoid those?

We have heard them too!

Always ask for insurance, licensing docs, and check reviews. We are biased towards local companies (obviously) but we feel that’s better than some of the big national brands. Do your research, get multiple estimates, and cheaper isn’t always better.

How far in advance do I need to book?

2+ weeks out.

This allows for proper prep time to make your move happen. We recommend giving yourself & us as much lead time as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a full-size truck get down a long gravel drive?

Usually, though, we check the surface and turning space at the estimate. Where it is not safe to bring the truck all the way in, we plan a shorter shuttle rather than risk the drive.

Do you move outbuildings' contents as well as the house?

Yes, as long as it is in the agreed scope. Tell us about sheds, barns, and detached garages during the estimate so the time and truck space account for them.
