From my first experience with Aiden (getting a thorough, clear estimate in a very timely manner) to the day of the move & delivery of my furniture by Caiden & Tyler, this company was amazing! I had extremely heavy pieces of furniture, a huge reclining couch that was nearly impossible to fit through a doorway, AND I was relocating to a second story building involving lots of stairs. Our team visits in-home or via phone call. We get a clear understanding of your move. During this time our team walks you the process of moving long-distance. Even if Moving Mountains isn’t for you, we will help you plan to make this a smooth move!
BOOKING YOUR MOVE
As long as the price makes sense for you, we book your move. At this time we require a 10% deposit and a signature booking your move. This deposit is entirely refundable.
Depending on the moving package you choose, either we prepare to pack or you start the packing process!
MOVING DAY!!
Our guide will walk you through a preparation timeline that ensures move day success. You’ll get to sit back, relax & watch the magic happen. Our crew will take wonderful care of you and your things. You’ll know you made a great move by choosing Moving Mountains!

How much does it cost to move?
$500-5,000+ (Local Full House Move)
It depends so much on house size, trucks needed, & more to get an exact quote. It’s best to give us a call and have us give you a formal estimate.
Are you licensed & insured?
Yes.
All Illinois licensed movers are. We recommend asking for proof of insurance with every move! As well as license documents to ensure you and your belongings are protected.
Are there any hidden fees?
Nope.
We keep pricing as simple as we can. Hourly for local. Weight for long-distance. Our goal is to give you an accurate price we can stand behind. We don’t like to lowball just to get the bid.
I always hear moving horror stories, how do I avoid those?
We have heard them too!
Always ask for insurance, licensing docs, and check reviews. We are biased towards local companies (obviously) but we feel that’s better than some of the big national brands. Do your research, get multiple estimates, and cheaper isn’t always better.
How far in advance do I need to book?
2+ weeks out.
This allows for proper prep time to make your move happen. We recommend giving yourself & us as much lead time as possible.
