Moving is on the top of most people's list as their least favorite thing to do. Myself included. From the initial phone call to the final box being taken off the truck, my family and I were treated with respect and courteously. The move was for my 85 year old mother who is coming to live with us. The lady who answers the phone Kenna,( I hope I spelled it correctly) was always polite and helpful. Aidan their estimator was professional and even came to my location to have the contract signed. No move ever goes as planned, and Aidan helped me navigate through my questions and concerns with ease and made sure things went as planned. Finally, the two young men who did the move. Aidan (Different one) and Camdyn were beyond amazing. Showed up on time, listened to what I had to say, and then went to work. These men made the move as simple as possible, and didn't flinch once when I had to pivot on how the truck was to be unloaded. House first or storage first??. I should have listened to my wife!! Guys, seriously I can't thank you enough for how professional and helpful you both were! I LOVE these guys! Deven, Camden,Tim & Adain were awesome movers! I was concerned about my newly painted walls but they were so careful going down the stairs, I could even hear them telling each other to be careful with the walls. We had a very easy move. We were moving to a different building in our apartment. Just a 150ft walk.When we contacted Moving Mountains we told them our issues and how we had very little income. We asked if we could pay in payments and they went above and beyond to help us make our move smooth and with as little stress as possible.They offered us a payment plan and we agreed. Something WE could afford. Working with us.When the movers came, I was impressed how nice and accommodating they were. They were careful with our things. And did their best to stay within the 4 hour limit that we had been quoted on. Because we wouldn’t be able to afford any longer than 4 hours. They also took a large cabinet to good with for us and half our boxes to storage.One of the movers picked up my Angel statue and placed it carefully in their personal car. Which I appreciated because that statue has been in my heart since my Aunt gave it to me when I was 10yrs old. And it is the last thing I have to remember her by. Deven, Brendon, and Calvin were our movers and they are absolutely wonderful. 100% recommend and appreciate them! Thank you for making our move as smooth as possible.

These young men are great! They were professional, communicative, and on-time! They also were polite and cared about their performance. They moved us 1100+ miles and were thorough and not one thing was lost or damaged! on top of that, one of their trucks broke down on the west east side of Indiana. They had to return back to pick up a replacement truck which meant they had to unload and then reload one of our two trucks. Once they finally arrived at our new home they had to unload both trucks and finish the job. These guys are hard workers and were a pleasure to get to know and work with. We would have no hesitation to use them in the future!

Our team visits in-home or via phone call. We get a clear understanding of your move. During this time our team walks you the process of moving long-distance. Even if Moving Mountains isn’t for you, we will help you plan to make this a smooth move!
BOOKING YOUR MOVE
As long as the price makes sense for you, we book your move. At this time we require a 10% deposit and a signature booking your move. This deposit is entirely refundable.
Depending on the moving package you choose, either we prepare to pack or you start the packing process!
MOVING DAY!!
Our guide will walk you through a preparation timeline that ensures move day success. You’ll get to sit back, relax & watch the magic happen. Our crew will take wonderful care of you and your things. You’ll know you made a great move by choosing Moving Mountains!

How much does it cost to move?
$500-5,000+ (Local Full House Move)
It depends so much on house size, trucks needed, & more to get an exact quote. It’s best to give us a call and have us give you a formal estimate.
Are you licensed & insured?
Yes.
All Illinois licensed movers are. We recommend asking for proof of insurance with every move! As well as license documents to ensure you and your belongings are protected.
Are there any hidden fees?
Nope.
We keep pricing as simple as we can. Hourly for local. Weight for long-distance. Our goal is to give you an accurate price we can stand behind. We don’t like to lowball just to get the bid.
I always hear moving horror stories, how do I avoid those?
We have heard them too!
Always ask for insurance, licensing docs, and check reviews. We are biased towards local companies (obviously) but we feel that’s better than some of the big national brands. Do your research, get multiple estimates, and cheaper isn’t always better.
How far in advance do I need to book?
2+ weeks out.
This allows for proper prep time to make your move happen. We recommend giving yourself & us as much lead time as possible.
